QS stands for “Qualität & Sicherheit”, i.e. Quality & Safety, and is a voluntary certification system specific to the German market that defines the quality standards for fresh produce. The QS Quality Scheme for Food certification aims to ensure the health and hygiene quality of baby leaf salads from the field to the shop counter. Companies that have obtained Global G.A.P. Option 2 standard certification may participate in the QS system.
