What does the term sustainable agriculture actually mean
Sustainable agriculture is a specific type of farming that does NOT endanger future resources, promotes environmentally friendly techniques and at the same time supports a type of precision farming, where every detail is calculated to boost productivity with no impact on the environment.
The enterprises promoting sustainable agriculture use farming practices such as crop rotation or new water conservation techniques and promote greater diversity in agricultural systems, a reduction in the use of chemical fertilisers, and an inclusive and agricultural environment that provides economic and social opportunities for the community as a whole.
The objectives of sustainable agriculture
Sustainable agriculture aims to make farmers aware of the need for their products and processing methods to
- ensure food security for the current and future population,
- protect and improve the quality of soil, water and ecosystems,
- maintain biodiversity,
- preserve natural resources for future generations.
Our firm commitment
As promoters of sustainable agriculture, at OP Isola Verde we have introduced varietal selections and monitoring of greenhouse conditions by means of weather control units to improve product quality without stressing the planet.
We farm more than 90 hectares of organic greenhouses and ensure that all our collaborators work in accordance with all health and hygiene standards and good farming practices. Furthermore, we have put in place a controlled production process throughout the entire production chain, which has allowed us to obtain a number of different international certifications.

I am the contact person for all OP Isola Verde customers.
Customer Care supports them before, during and after deliveries, it assists them during sales negotiations, it manages shipments and quickly solves any problems. My strong points include my keenness to listen and the ability to handle situations with accuracy and punctuality to meet all possible demands.
