Fruit Logistica 2023 – Sustainability and Technology
Yet again this year we attended Fruit Logistica in Berlin, the trade fair dedicated to the fruit and vegetables food chain. Here’s our experience.
Fruit Logistica is a benchmark event for fruit and vegetable producers and, once again this year, it was a great opportunity to learn about the latest innovation, exchange points of view and consolidate our business relationships. During our three days at the event we had the opportunity to meet at our booth some of our longest standing customer, new enterprises interested in our produce, as well as possible suppliers we plan to start working with in the coming months. These are the topics that we believe acted as the fil rouge during the 2023 Fruit Logistica edition.
Optimisation of transport
Whilst in Berlin, we had the opportunity to meet companies specialising in the management of the international cold chain, a topic that we are very interested in, given that OP Isola Verde supplies baby leaf salads throughout Europe and the quality of the products is closely linked to their shelf life and our ability to make swift deliveries.
New technological aspects
During the fair we also met with enterprises specialising in the management of the fruit and vegetable supply chain and the development of new technologies to be incorporated within the processing operations.
These meetings gave us the opportunity to discover new internal organisation methods, such as new technologies for the collection, processing and storage of fruit and vegetables, and provided us with new ideas on how to further optimise our internal processes.
Sustainability
Sustainability was another recurring topic at all the Fruit Logistica 2023 booths, and we gained new perspectives on how to further improve our work processes.
Every year at OP Isola Verde we invest in sustainable technology to speed up production processes and guarantee superior levels of quality with no impact on the environment. Thanks to the enterprises we met in Berlin, we are confident that in the months ahead we will be able to boost the level of sustainability of our company, paying consistently more attention to the requirements of our Planet.
