Recipe – chicken salad for kids
Chicken salad is a cold and versatile dish that lends itself to many variations. Excellent especially in summer, our recipe combines delicate flavours and fresh and delicious ingredients that children also like.
With tender chicken, sweet corn, juicy tomatoes and soft shavings of Grana Padano cheese, our salad is not only nutritious, but also tasty and inviting.
Cold chicken salad for kids
Ingredients for 4 persons
- 200 g chicken breast
- 100 g corn
- 150 g cherry tomatoes
- 2 carrots
- 200 g baby leaf lettuce
- 30 g of Grana Padano shavings
- 150 g Greek yoghurt
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Fresh basil to taste
Procedure
Start by cooking the chicken breast. You can grill it, boil it or fry it in a pan with some olive oil and salt. Once cooked, leave it to cool down and then chop into small pieces.
Wash the baby lettuce, cut the cherry tomatoes in half, grate the carrots finely and prepare the Grana shavings.
Take a small bowl and prepare the creamy dressing by mixing the Greek yoghurt with honey and lemon juice.
Take a large bowl, add the chopped chicken, baby lettuce, corn, cherry tomatoes, and carrots. Add dressing to the yoghurt and mix well. Finally, finish with the Grana shavings and basil leaves.
Store the salad in the refrigerator until meal time.
