Op Isola Verde and youngsters for a project focused on the future
We hosted the students of the artistic high school La Traccia for a hands-on marketing project that introduces them to the job world.Find out what we are working on in partnership with the Calcinate -BG- School Centre.
Our Telgate facility welcomed the students from the second artistic high school La Traccia, an innovative educational hub that focuses on providing youngsters with a practical and concrete approach to the subjects they choose to study.
The topic of the meeting was the design of the packaging for some complementary products for our baby leaf salads, in particular the bottle labels for the wine and oil that we produce at one of our farm facilities.
The current label was designed years ago and we decided that it was time to replace it. In collaboration with the school teachers we decided to propose a project to the students asking them to develop a new graphic design, but it was essential to hold a brief beforehand to define together what we aimed to communicate through these bottles.
A mix of marketing and production to understand business dynamics
The meeting we had with the youngsters gave us the opportunity to present our company, and also convey the values of our baby leaf salads.
Genuineness, attention to quality and respect for the land are three key concepts for our OP that must have high visual impact in the packaging of the baby leaf salads and also in the other products we produce.
We can only portray positive sensations to our customers that refer to the solid and well-structured enterprise we are, if we use a coordinated image and use recurring colours, styles and designs.
Food grade packaging regulations
The meeting with the students of the artistic high school La Traccia was also a great opportunity to emphasise the importance of the information that must be indicated on the packaging of food products.
Compared to other products, food grade packaging must comply with very strict regulations, such as:
- the accuracy of the nutritional information
- the choice of terms used
- the correspondence of the images
Now that we have shared our requirements and the information we need on the labels with the students, all we have to do is wait to receive their projects.
OP Isola Verde is always open to new ideas, we look to the future and, with the enthusiasm that the students showed during the afternoon we spent together, we are convinced that something absolutely extraordinary will emerge from this collaboration, where creativity and innovation shall be the key to success.
